Mercy Business Training and Development Center ()Mercy Center) was formerly Mercy Hospital, the only hospital in eastern North Carolina serving African Americans in the early 1900s.
In 1997, the building was completely renovated by a partnership of organizations, including the Wilson Community Improvement Association, BB&T, the City of Wilson, the NC Division of Community Assistance, and Self-Help, a nonprofit community development lender.
Today, this historic building houses over 7,000 square feet of office space for new and expanding small businesses. |
