Q. How does OasysDSL compare with dial-up network connectivity services such as ISDN and analog services?

Monthly costs are a fraction of what you would pay for a 24x7 T-1 line, literally a quarter of the cost. Even for the typical ISDN user who is online as little as two to three hours a day, OasysDSL will save you money while providing a faster, more reliable connection that's available any time.
 

Q. Is OasysDSL secure?
A. Unlike it is for cable modems, customer traffic is kept separate and isolated to the telephone company's Central Office (CO) connection point. So, traffic from one user's OasysDSL connection is never visible on another customer's OasysDSL network.
 

Q. Will OasysDSL work with my existing network?
A. The DSL modem included with the service has a standard 10BaseT Ethernet interface, allowing easy connection to your network router, hub or directly to an individual PC outfitted with a Network Interface Card (NIC).
 

Q. I've heard that there are different types or "flavors" of DSL, and that they run at different speeds. How can I avoid locking myself into the wrong choice?

Under normal circumstances, you will have access to the service within 30 days of signing up, and with some Local Exchange Carriers (LECs), we can get you connected even faster. This compares with lead times of six to eight weeks or longer with most T-1 services. (Note: there are circumstances in which extra work on the phone lines may be required to get your connection operational. This can increase installation time.)
